THOMARIOS SPECIATLY GROUP recently completed a total restoration of the “Dough boy” statue for Summit County.“Dough Boy” was an informal term used for the American Soldier during World War I. The term was replaced by “G.I.” in World War II. The statue was dedicated to the memory of the men and women who served their country from Summit County during the World War. THOMARIOS dismantled the statue and restored it at our operational facilities. The process included cleaning, stripping, repairing, and recoating in a deep bronze metallic system. The statue is now back on display outside the Summit County Courthouse in Akron, Ohio.
