THOMARIOS Pittsburgh Coating Group is pleased to be a part of the renovation of historic Old Main on the campus of Penn State University. The scope of work for the Old Main Building Systems Renovation includes adding humidity and conditioned air to the main lobby, renovating the restrooms, replacing the domestic water piping system and replacing the perimeter steam radiators with hot water fin-tube radiation.
THOMARIOS’S scope of work consists of re-coating the perimeter walls on all four floors where the domestic water piping system was removed and repainting of the walls where MEP demolition and patching has occurred.
This project will be constructed with a goal of being invisible and maintaining a “zero presence”. The work will be phased so that there is minimum disturbance to the building occupants. Estimated completion is set for end of October 2013. Click on the following link to read more about Old Main and it’s significance on campus. http://alumni.libraries.psu.edu/oldmain.html
