THOMARIOS Construction Group is pleased to announce that we have received the Final Certificate of Occupancy for the newly constructed University of Akron South Residence Hall. Thomarios provided Construction Management at Risk services for Signet UA Development, LLC. Completion on this fast track (13 month turnkey) project will provide 531 beds for the students. Environmental enhancements include the use of Rainwater Harvesting System that utilizes a 20,000 gallon underground storage tank to collect water from the downspouts and yard drains to partially supply the irrigation system. All appliances used within the building meet the Energy Star requirements. This project was designed in conjunction with Doug Hyde Design with JCJ Architects as the Architect of Record. Welty Building Company provided personnel as the Associate Construction Manager.
