Project Description
Thomarios was the Prime General Contractor for this complex, multi-phased project aims to unite the entire School of Art (originally housed in 6 buildings throughout campus) in a single Arts Complex.
The project consisted of renovations to the Art Annex (former Heating Plant) and Van Deusen Hall, and the two buildings were connected through an addition to the Art Annex. A program was developed for the complex which was divided into the Fire Arts (Ceramics, Sculpture, Glassblowing, Jewelry and Printmaking) and the Clean Arts (Drawing and Painting, Textiles, Art Education, Art History, Foundations and Galleries).
